About the Prayer Room

vision

YHOP desires to create an atmosphere in which the presence of God can dwell through the worship, praise, and adoration of His people here on earth.

Mission

YHOP exists to provide a place where believers throughout York County can gather together as one body to worship Jesus as Mary of Bethany did, pouring out our lives before Him, and to partner with God’s heart in intercession for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done in our county, in our state, in our nation, and in the nations of the earth.

Why we exist

We desire for the prayer room to be a place where God’s glory rests and people can encounter Jesus. All are welcome to freely come and go during prayer room hours. While in the prayer room feel free to worship and pray, study the Word, journal, dance or draw. We provide dance streamers and art supplies in the back of the sanctuary. Whatever you do, we ask that you do it in a manner that honors God and respects the people in the room.

Devotional Set

Devotional sets are led by an individual or team of two. These sets provide an anointed atmosphere for meditation of Scripture in God’s presence. Songs are usually quiet and intimate worship that reflects a “Mary of Bethany” heart, and encourages the room to sit at the feet of Jesus.

Intercession Set

Intercession sets are led by a full worship team that provide an atmosphere to lift up and glorify the name of Jesus through corporate worship and prayer. Prayer is led by a designated prayer leader with singers who respond through simple phrases and spontaneous choruses.
